  I love the doña cuca gordita. Fireeeee. Shredded carnitas with amazing flavor and salsa. Loveeedddd it. Havent tried anything else. Liked that they had the cauliflower/carrots in vinegar on the table.
  
  The place on kedzie and 53rd is garbage! No comparison to this one.

  Hard to believe that they have low rating reviews, it could be because of the wait on the weekends that it could be a bit long. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's still the best most authentic Mexican restaurant in Chicago hands down. Even the tortillas are hand made and fresh! This restaurant makes me have high expectations for every Mexican restaurant to come and it can be hard to top. We came on a weekday and we didn't have to wait this time around. The waitress was nice and our order came fast. Don't let the reviews fool you, this is the best out there and we will continue coming back! Agua de horchata is the best too.

  Worse service ever! Rude waitstaff, on top of that they have the decency to charge an additional fee when you pay with your debit or credit card, what upset me the most was that they didn't even let me know that they were charging an additional fee until they ran the card! I will be calling my bank to dispute that charge! I know for a fact that credit card companies charge their vendors 0.50 per every credit card transaction, not almost $1.50! They lost a customer and I will be telling all my friends not to ever go there!!! Save your money and go eat else where!!

  Some of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I have been to have been part of a grocery store and "Aguas" is no exception.
  
  Ambiance:
  Weekends can get pretty busy. It is a seat yourself place. They have a parking lot but fills up quickly. Wait staff have always been pleasant, good for practicing your Spanish.
  
  Food:
  I come here for the gorditas nom nom. Carne asada are tried and true, but if you ate feeling frisky try the adobo or chicharrón ones. Their gorditas and tortillas ate hand made and the kitchen is in plain sight
